The Lewis Hine photographs offered by Argent Editions were made at the beginning of the 20th century while Hine was working for the National Child Labor Committee. The project took Hine across the U.S. documenting the lives of children working in often dangerous conditions and for little pay. His work helped bring about much needed reform to American child labor laws.
Argent Editions is pleased to offer these Modern Original prints, made directly from high-resolution digital versions of Hine's glass-plate negatives.
